


The Online Student Support Center is an extension of Academic Technology and Distance Education. Its purpose is to help students understand Blackboard, the course management system for the College's Web-based and Web-enhanced courses. Use this page as your link to course information, online support or to receive help from the Blackboard support staff.
Online Course information is posted each semester on this Web site. Included with the schedule are email links for each instructor, a sample syllabus, and a link to registration information. Use this information to help plan your course selections. If you have a specific question regarding course content or expectations use the email link to contact the instructor directly. A complete schedule of all courses offered by the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education is posted on the DGCE Web site.
Blackboard Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online or by calling our toll free support line 1-866-361-8970. To access Blackboard support tools, chat with a technician or report a technical problem visit our Blackboard Online Resource Center. Online Support The support center includes an online Blackboard Tutorial, that reflects the features and enhancements found in Blackboard. Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with this online guide. Using a series of Web pages and screen shots, you will be able to follow this tutorial quite easily. It will open in a new window. When you've finished, just close your browser to return to this page. Actually, you might want to print it and save it for reference. Check it out.

Academic Software Some instructors require software for their courses. Often this software can be very expensive if purchased at retail outlets. We may be able to help if you contact us directly.
Blackboard is the Learning Management System used at Framingham State College to complement and supplement our web-based course offerings. Ease of use continues to be a major characteristic of the e-learning system. Framingham State College Library Online Students interested in using the College library online should email msnyder@frc.mass.edu to get started. A bar code number will be sent back by return email. Once connected to the library students are eligible to access online databases during the semester in which they are enrolled using the barcode information.
