Discussion Board Features

The Discussion Board content space links to all class discussion forums within a course site. Forums are listed in a table format as shown in the graphic below. To enter a forum, click the link to the title of the forum.
Upgrades to the Discussion Board features include the following.
- The Total Posts, Unread Posts and Total Participants columns replace the old participant reporting method of listing what is "New".
- The buttons for adding forums and threads have been reduces to +Forum and +Thread.
- The link to Unread Posts open new discussion board threads.
- If the discussion board is graded, instructors will see an icon listed next to Total Participants.
Example: In this graphic a user would click the link titled Blackboard 7.3 to enter the first forum discussion listed.
