Homepage

Every Blackboard student is provided with space for building a course site Homepage. Using the Blackboard Homepage link, students have the option to enter an intro message, information about themselves, and a digital photograph. Many instructors will ask their students to build a Homepage as a means of introducing online students to their classmates. It is recommended that you complete this activity before the start of class.

Building a Homepage is a common first assignment in an online class.

Students: To add your Homepage to your course site follow these steps.

  1. Click the link to Homepage from the Student Tools menu
  2. Enter Introduction and Personal Information as directed by your professor
  3. Include a picture of yourself if asked (For best results, the image size should be 150x150 pixels)
  4. Enter your favorite web sites as directed
  5. Click Submit to save

Note: Faculty use the Staff Information tool in the Control Panel to create their Blackboard Homepage. The link to the page is automatically included as a menu item in the course. For more information are creating your staff page contact ATDE by email or stop by the office in Hemenway G09.
