Send E-mail
The Send E-mail option in Blackboard allows all members of the class to more easily communicate without knowing each person's e-mail information. When a message is sent, Blackboard uses information saved in each person's personal information profile. For this reason, it is important that the address is kept current.
E-mail sent from Blackboard does not remain on the Blackboard server. The system will automatically e-mail a copy of the message to the sender of the message. E-mail messages may be sent to an individual, a course group, student members or the instructor.
Faculty Note: In the most recent version of Blackboard, the names of the recipients are included in the message, when the email is sent using the Control Panel Send Email tool.
