Using the Lecture Hall Classroom Tool
The Lecture Hall Classroom Tool allows the instructor to pull in content posted in the Blackboard course site, as well as web sites and white board postings. The chat feature at the bottom of the screen works like the Lightweight Chat and allows participants to synchronously comment on the information that is posted.
Use the View menu option, shown in the upper left corner in the graphic below, to split the screen and display private messages in a split screen. Participants type their comments in the small box at the bottom of the screen. Once sent, all participants view messages in the box under the Virtual Classroom window.
Classroom Tools, listed on the left under tools, are used to display course content, whiteboard entries, or web pages. Use the Ask Question Tool to post a question separate from the Chat Window. The instructor will post the response or send the recipient a private message.
