Collaborative Learning Tools
Blackboard provides many options for students to interact with their instructor and each other, or engage in the course content. The items listed below are used in many online classes and in some web-enhanced course sites. Each professor will select the tools which meet their course objectives and activities.
Communication takes place on a one-to-one basis, in groups, and often with the whole class in many online and web-enhanced course sites. Students who take web-based courses at Framingham State College report that they are much more interactive than classroom-based courses. This is sometimes surprising to students who have not yet experienced an online course. However, old-timers understand very well how online communications are frequent and deep.
